Introduction to the project

During the transition period it became vital to enhance the women’s role in development of the Democratic Societies. High rate of women’s unemployment is still an issue to overcome. Thus we believe that their re-qualification and training will help them to be more adoptive in Armenian society.

‘IATC’ Fund recognizes its Corporate Social Responsibility in building a democratic and developing society. Being a non-governmental organization, IATC is providing to its beneficiaries with contemporary knowledge and practical skills for better functioning and positioning in a changing social-economic environment of Armenia. The aim of the project is to deliver a contemporary professional knowledge and skills and assist in further successful employment.

The project started on 2nd of July, 2012 and finished on 2nd of October, 2012.

Major outputs the project:

About 9 women, seeking for a new qualification, are trained in total of 350 hours though intensive training program, which will help them to start up new professional career of an accountants. In addition, the participants will be provided with:

- Additional skills to get oriented in Employer – Employee relations,
- Competitiveness in employment market,
- Support for further employment from Employment Republican Service.

The participants are from Yerevan and Abovyan cities. The selection of the participants was carried out with an assistance of ‘Republican Employment Service’ Agency.

At the end of the project all participants had received the completion certificates.

Brief Description of the Content

The training course was conducted according to the following program:

1. Financial Accounting Framework and Main Accounting Standards,
2. Chart of Accounts of the RA,
3. Tax System of RA,
4. Applied Accounting,
5. Accounting Software,
6. How to apply for a job.
